Last week, the owner of Renaissance Rentals, Tim Henke, hosted an informal coffee-and-donut breakfast at our SummerHouse community. The invitees were all retired doctors and each was asked to donate to a local cause. The event was fun and good conversation was fueled by even better coffee. I know what you’re thinking, but don’t worry! This group maintained 6 feet of social distance between them.
Because of the staggering job loss during these trying times, local groups fighting against food insecurity have become overwhelmed. That’s why the donated money from this modest event was made to benefit the Hoosier Hills Food Bank and Monroe Country Community Kitchen. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to these groups also! The work they’re doing during this pandemic is invaluable.
